Starting off as an indie author can be very overwhelming. There are hidden cost you never thought you’d have to pay. You want to write and publish until you hear about eBook vs print, developmental editor vs copy editor, ISBN, formatting, and the list goes on. Eventually, you arrive to this annoying quote:
You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but…
Ahhh! I hate that quote. I see it on every single page for cover artist. Sorry to add it here, but I hate it and if you’ve seen it a million times, I just wanted you to know you’re not alone.
So what can I offer you? Nothing.
I’m just here to direct you to artist. I’m not one of them. I have a character design background and might have designed my own cover art, but I so happened to have a friend that could out draw me in her sleep. Therefore, I went with her.
But I’m not even offering her services. I’m giving you a list of artist for you to have at your disposal. The group will start off small, but every time I find a new artist, I will add them to this section.
First, I’d like to feature the artist that did my typography: Glynnis Koike (I love her name by the way).
She’s an experienced artist in illustration, graphic design, and typography.

Now, on to the group of sexy artist:

Ravven
She’s a Twitter contact that I consider a digital friend. She’s very personable and has beautiful skills. If I didn’t use my friend, I would’ve contacted Ravven for my designs.

Indie Cover Designs
Another Twitter contact. These designs are simple and get the job done the way it needs to be. Take a look at the samples on the website and see if that’s what you’re looking for. Remember, your cover needs to match the content of your novel and this website has more general designs that could help you get there.

Kim Harris
I don’t know much about the artist, but I was contacted and given something to display. You can easily use her email address and message her for samples of her work.

Joe Diamond
I just met her on Goodreads and checked out her website. Take a look at some of her designs and you’ll be impressed. I had a really difficult time choosing my favorite photo enhancement, but I ended up with this one.
