Yellow Diamond Hunter Cover Reveal

I can’t believe that I haven’t done this yet, but the cover is here for Yellow Diamond Hunter. Actually, I’ve had it for over a week now.

I’m really excited about this cover. It’s not the anime style that many of you have grown accustom to. I actually hate that it isn’t. I wish that I could give it that anime feel, but when I consider my career, I have to think about what appeals to a larger audience.

That being said, my cover artist, Glynnis Koike, never disappoints. She managed to truly incompass many of the novel’s themes.

Without further adieu:

Yellow Diamond Hunter CoverYellow Diamond Hunter Themes

The Florentine

The Florentine, also known as the Yellow Diamond, is the most powerful diamond known to alchemy. In Yellow Diamond Hunter, Sol searches through dangerous areas known as dark zones to search for the Florentine.

The Sun and Stars

Sol hopes to use it to unveil the sun, which the Demon of Pain masked with a dark energy. The sun has been absent for thousands of years, making the world a very paranoid and violent place.

The Shadows

Though humans have evolved to see in the darkness, they have not learned to survive. Vampire/Zombie-like creatures known as ramanga live in the shadows. The consume everything in sight, as long as light is not present.

These themes are more related to the cover. The overarching themes of the novel are hopefully more thought provoking. Though I chose to simplify this story–removing the miniature arcs and convoluted details that are present in the Barcode Series–I did not slack on the quality of Sol’s journey.

Please look out for the novel at the end of the month. It will be on sale for one or two weeks at $9.99. This is only for friends and family to support the next novel (the extra money helps pay my artist and hopefully a potential editor). However, after that brief time, we will return to selling at $2.99.
